Tiffindell is South Africa's one and only ski resort. It is located in the Eastern Cape on the highest point of the southern peaks of the Drakensberg. Since Tiffendell has snow-making machines the resort guaranties more than 100 days a year. The main slope is 1 km long, but at times only parts of the slope are usable, depending on snowmaking weather and natural snow. The slope is fine for practising and improving your abilities in slalom and quick turns. Guests can also ski off-piste for up to 1.5 km. Afri-Ski is currently the only skiing resort in Lesotho, located 3322 m above sea-level in the Maloti Mountains. The resort is 4.5 hours' drive from Johannesburg.
